some information about PFS

Penwith Film Society screens three seasons every year, from Autumn into early Summer, when the Society takes a break to enjoy the sun while the Savoy caters for the heavy influx of holiday makers. Annual membership at a modest £7.50 entitles a member admission at a discount of £1.50 ticket. Over the season this would save you around £45. Non-members are of course very welcome to come along, but you won't get that discount.

Films are chosen by the committee, elected annually by the members.

Films are shown in the Savoy Cinema in Penzance on Mondays and Sundays, in the Royal in St Ives on Wednesdays, and also in other Cornish cinemas in the Merlin chain where feasible.

During the late Summer, in conjunction with the Acorn Arts Centre and Penlee House Museum and Gallery, we put on a couple of "Films in the Park", al-fresco viewing for a Summer evening, and a real delight.
