2014 Palm d’Or winner Winter Sleep, from director Nuri Bilge Ceylan, is the story of Aydin, a former actor, who runs a small hotel in central Anatolia alongside his wife, Nihal, with whom he has had a tempestuous relationship, and his sister Necla, who is suffering from her recent divorce.
